Broadacres Ltd are fully equipped and qualified to work domestically and commercially around utility cables. From 240v domestic uninsulated cables up to 400,000v overhead cables.

Being fully equipped means that if it is safe to do so we can carry out works on your trees should power cables be running through them or even touching them without the need to turn off power. There are instances however where the power will need to be shut down to enable works to commence ensuring the safety of the public and our staff.

Broadacres tree surgeons will also clear paths through trees to enable telephone wires or electric cables to pass through with enough space to avoid interference.

This is called "through pruning"; think of it as a tube cut through for the cables. This service would be carried out to Bristish Standard 3998 (british standard for tree work). All cuts made to ensure through passage for the cables will be cut to suitable pruning points ensuring the health of the tree is maintained.
